Bachmann has announced a unique model of GB Railfreight Class 69 69013 in special Andy's Man Club livery, with proceeds from sales going to the mental health charity. The model is part of Bachmann's all-new Class 69 project, which is due to be released later this year.
The model is a special edition to raise awareness and funds for Andy's Man Club, a men's suicide prevention and mental health charity that offers free peer-to-peer support across the UK. Bachmann aims to raise £13,000 for the charity through the sale of this model.
The model features a five-pole twin shaft motor with twin flywheels, die-cast chassis bogie towers and gearbox, all-wheel drive, metal bearings, factory-fitted speakers, and more. It is available in three different versions: DCC Ready (£249.95), DCC sound-fitted (£359.95), and DCC sound-fitted deluxe (£399.95).
The unique livery of the model is a black scheme, but due to the all-new tooling suite, the model will not be able to replicate the Class 69's unique cut-down cab at both ends. The model will be available from all Bachmann stockists, with all proceeds going to Andy's Man Club.
